About AgriVision

A platform for informed discussion

AgriVision provides a platform for informed discussion at a strategic level on current and future concerns in the animal protein food chains. AgriVision is aimed at board-level executives in food and agribusiness, influential politicians and key members of NGOs.

As such AgriVision brings together key stakeholders in the international feed-to-food chain. It provides a platform for strategic debate on global feed, food and agri business topics and enables delegates to network and strengthen relationships. AgriVision aspires to shift minds, develop new ideas and inspire approaches for the benefit of all those involved in the feed-to-food chain.

Conference history

This year’s conference is built on the successes of the former AgriVision conferences, held since 2000. Together with sister conference AquaVision, AgriVision 2017 is the 20th conference by Nutreco in the series. At previous AgriVision conferences, we were honoured to have high-profiled and well-recognised speakers such as Madeleine Albright, former Secretary of State to the United States, Michael E. Porter, professor at Harvard Business School, Jeff Simmons, President Elanco, John Tyson, CEO of Tyson Foods, Mark Han, CEO of DaChan Greatwall Group, Roberto Rodrigues, Former Minister of Agriculture of Brazil, Alberto Weisser, Former Chairman and CEO of Bunge, Kjeld Johannesen, former CEO Danish Crown, and many others.

AgriVision audience

AgriVision provides an ideal and unique opportunity for networking throughout the global agri‐ and food‐business community. It is an excellent way to strengthen relationships with key stakeholders, networking on a broad international scale and engaging in discussions of strategic significance. At AgriVision 2017 we aim for an audience of approximately 400 delegates from along the whole animal protein value chain (see figure).

We expect a similar geographical mix as at AgriVision 2015 (Europe 64%, FSU 3%, Latin America 11%, Asia Pacific 11%, USA & Canada 7%, the Middle East 2%, Africa 2%) with delegates from more than 40 different countries. As a rule, ninety percent of these delegates are top-level executives holding positions such as CEO, chairman, general manager or member of the board. The conference language is English with simultaneous translation in the Chinese (Mandarin), French, Portuguese, German and Spanish language.
